Blanka Szilvássy
Expert on Food Contact Materials, Hungarian National Food Chain Safety Office
Blanka Szilvássy is a Food Safety Officer at the Hungarian National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH) and a national expert on the European Commission Working Group on Food Contact Materials, a role she has held since 2016. She holds a PhD in Food Science from Corvinus University of Budapest and brings both analytical chemistry and regulatory expertise to her work, having started her career as an analytical chemist before moving into food safety enforcement and EU-level policy work. She has also contributed to EU Twinning Projects advising on food contact materials legislation in third countries.
At PET Pack CEE Forum 2026, Blanka brings a dual perspective that is rare on a conference stage: the enforcement reality of a national food safety authority and the EU regulatory framework as seen from inside the Commission's working group on food contact materials.
